What ski jacket should I get?

I don't really know that much about ski jackets, so I would like some help.

I'm an 18 year old female who would prefer a cheaper ski jacket (under 200) that functions well on the ski slope and was wondering if you had any suggestions? Columbia, The North Face, Helly Hansen... I really don't know which brand was best and was also wondering which one was best. ThanksWhat ski jacket should I get?

I suggest a waterproof jacket, like with a Goretex membrane (or similar waterproofing). I also suggest a jacket with a hood, even if it's zipped into the collar. If you are going to ski, staying warm is crucial, and there's nothing worse than getting pelted with snow or ice crystals riding up a lift, and not being able to hide under a hood. Also, having a wet butt is no fun (I speak from experience!), so waterproof ski pants are really useful. Marmot, North Face %26amp; Columbia are all good, but Bogner, Spyder and other brands are good, too. If you check out eBay beware of Chinese fakes at cheap prices. Most counterfeit parkas are being sold by Chinese dealers. Have fun! What ski jacket should I get?
check backcountry.com for good ski jacket deals. typically, columbia will be cheaper than northface and about the same quality. I have jackets from about every company and columbia is probably the best for the price
I'm a fan of Columbia and Northface. Columbia might be more reasonable price wise. I am sure there are some decent deals now at stores on coats. Particularly sporting goods stores.
