On their top of the line racing jackets they specifically state "storm cuffs" which are inner cuffs that keep water from getting up your sleeve. On others, such as their Salt jacket, they state is has "stealth cuffs". What are these?|||Hard to be sure from just looking at the products on line, but it seems to me that the "stealth cuffs" are simply a single cuff with a low-profile rubber and velcro tab for adjustment (it looks identical to what I have on my Marmot goretex shell) and these would NOT have an inner cuff. if it was double I think they would say so and I don't see any of the product specs on their web site saying a jacket with stealth is double or has an inner. Also don't see any sign of the stitching on those shells that would indicate an inner cuff. The Salt is described as an "everyday jacket for sea or shore" and looks like similar shells that are made to be used as light shower protection in fair weather or over an insulating layer in the cold, where the cuffs of the inner jacket would interfere with inner cuffs on a shell layer. It's just a basic parka.
If you seriously need a jacket for offshore sailing with a possibility of waves breaking over the deck and working in wind and rain, go for the racing jacket. But if you are just a recreational sailor that would be overkill and the jacket might be a pain to use in everyday conditions. I had a goretex mountaineering shell years ago that had inner cuffs. They were great for ski touring or bicycling when I just had long underwear or a light turtleneck underneath but they were almost impossible to pull on over the sleeves of any bulky inner layer like a sweater or pile jacket. So I ended up taking scissors and cutting them out.
